In a cryptic post, filmmaker Zack Snyder has released a video announcement asking you to ‘Save the Date’ for the period of April 28th-30th.
The video shows a digital visual interface like something out of Jarvis from the “Iron Man” films before the text ‘Incoming Transmission from Lord Darkseid’ appears.
A voice, which sounds very similar to Ray Porter’s voice work as Darkseid (albeit with a bit less bass) in the “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” cut, then says “April 28th, 29th, 30th. Save the date”. Snyder also tags it with the hashtag #FullCircle.
No further explanation has been offered, but in the minutes since the posting the loyal Snyder fandom has understandably gone nuts and is using social media to speculate as to what’s going on.
Some have speculated a short-lived theatrical release of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” whereas others think something bigger is in the works.
Snyder has most recently been working on his two-part space opera epic “Rebel Moon” starring Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam and Anthony Hopkins. Shot throughout much of last year, the first of the films is expected to debut on December 22nd.
